Shannon Salentine: Using Burnout to Create Boundaries
Chronic burnout. We’ve all felt it.
It feels like the space around us is getting smaller, causing constriction and stress and an overwhelming sense of limitation.
Today I’m here with my friend Shannon Salentine, an executive leadership coach, facilitator, and global development consultant. Four years ago, she left her job to start her own company, Lead For Good, which offers coaching for leaders, changemakers and their companies.
Shannon is the mom of two older kids – a 12-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son – which is always fun for me, to hear about what I have ahead in my motherhood journey with my two little boys!
In this episode, Shannon and I talk about our changing identities as our kids grow older; about how work and leadership skills CAN translate to parenting; and how allowing more room for margin lets us be more conscious to make decisions that lead us toward our values and keep us present, curious and open to learning.
